Keep in mind that since they are handmade each will vary some in color and the wood grain. Each 4 player board comes with real glass marbles and a dice to play. Please keep in mind that these are made by real people and each board will have its own unique character. They are made out of real wood from real trees. We go to great lengths finishing each board by hand to assure that you are happy with your new game board. The sanding is all done by hand and the oil base finish is applied by a real person. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ARE THE HOME HOLES PAINTED TO MATCH THE MARBLE COLORS? NO, they are not painted. At this time we do not offer this option. WHAT SIZE OF MARBLES ARE INCLUDED? The marbles included are 5/8 inch marbles. This is a normal size game marble. WHAT ARE THE MARBLES MADE OF? The marbles are made of glass. WHAT FINISH IS ON THE BOARD? Our boards are completely submerged in a vat of Danish oil. This guarantees that all parts of the game board has a finish. IS THE FINISH A SHINEY FINISH? No, our boards have a matte finish that will last for years. The finish is soaked into the wood so if it gets a scratch you can sand it out unlike having the shiney finsh that will always have that scratch. DO WE OFFER ANY CUSTOM BOARDS OR OPTIONS? No, at this time we do not offer any custom boards, personalizations or changes to the board. HOW BIG IS THIS GAME BOARD? These boards are approximately 16 x 16 inch square. They are shipped in a pizza box for reference on the size. WILL 1 INCH MARBLES WORK ON THIS BOARD? No, they will not work. The holes are to close for that size of marble. WHAT KIND OF WOOD ARE THE BOARDS MADE OF? Our boards are made from a cabinet grade plywood with a maple vaneer. We use this type of wood to try and prevent warping. WHY DO THE BOARDS COST WHAT THEY DO? Please remember that the cost includes the price of the lumber, the tools to make the board, the product to finish the board, the time it takes for a person to make it, shipping is also included and Amazon has to get paid too. Our price is very reasonable considering we have not raised and prices since covid. Our business has absorbed all the inflation of the products to make these. We are a small fmaily business.
